Gilas Pilipinas Women top Malaysia for silver medal finish

The Gilas Pilipinas women's basketball team defeated Malaysia, 77-63, to take home a silver medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at the Elephant Hall on Monday, May 15.

Gilas finished with the second-best record of 5-1 as the Filipino dribblers relinquished their crown to Indonesia which got the gold with a 6-0 slate.

Janine Pontejos led the Filipinas with 24 points while Khate Castillo scored 18 markers.

Camille Clarin chipped in nine points, Afril Bernardino had seven and Jack Animam posted six.
