Sisi Rondina joins Flying Titans in PVL Invitational

CHOCO Mucho is about to get a huge boost in its campaign in the PVL Invitational Conference set on June 29.

This as former UST star Sisi Rondina has joined the Flying Titans, making her indoor volleyball return after spending the last four years competing in the sands.

While Choco Mucho hasn't officially welcomed Rondina yet, its teaser video posted on its social media pages on Friday clearly showed clips of Rondina in beach volleyball action. It also showed Rondina posing for a picture with her back turned.

"From sand to court, are you ready?" were the text on the video teaser Choco Mucho posted.

Rondina, together with Bernadeth Pons, won two Southeast Asian Games bronze medals in women's beach volleyball back in 2019 and 2022. Their tandem is fondly called "SiPons."

Before focusing on beach volleyball, Rondina won the UAAP Season 81 MVP award in 2019 and led UST to the Finals, where it lost to Ateneo.

Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, Bea de Leon and Deana Wong were the core of that Ateneo team and are now Choco Mucho's, making Rondina team up with her college rivals.

Rondina's last indoor volleyball action was back in 2019 when she played for Petron in the now-defunct Philippine Superliga.

Meanwhile, Pons also made her indoor volleyball return by joining the defending champs Creamline Cool Smashers as she and Rondina are set for a collision course after being teammates in the sands.
