PH's Nelda Ibi wins Ms. Globe 2017 1st runner-up


Binibining Pilipinas Globe Nelda Ibe was named 1st runner-up in the Ms. Globe 2017 beauty pageant held in Tirana, Albania, Friday.

The 24-year old cadet pilot, who was dubbed "The Pilot Queen", finished behind Vietnamese beauty Khanh Ngan.

"Nelda showed grace and elegance befitting a proud Filipina, making her a true inspiration to women all over the world," Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc chair Stella Araneta said in a congratulatory statement.

Ibe's second-place finish was the Philippines' best showing in Miss Globe since 2015, when model Anne Lorraine Colis won the crown.

1st runner-up – Nelda Ibe of Philippines

2nd runner-up – Elena Latypova of Siberia

3rd runner-up – Alessia Çoku of Albania

4th runner-up– Simone Heijligers of Cape Verde

In late October, Elizabeth Clenci finished second runner-up at Miss Grand International held in Vietnam.
