Miss France Iris Mittenaere is crowned Miss Universe 2016

Today, Pia Wurtzbach passes her crown to the new Miss Universe, Iris Mittenaere. Hailing from France, her life will now change as she becomes the new face of the numerous advocacies of the Miss Universe Organization.

After passing grueling elimination rounds including interviews, swimsuit and gown competitions, and a tough Q&A portion, Miss France has bested 86 beauties from around the world. She is followed by:

1st Runner-up: Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier

2nd Runner-up: Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar
