F2 Logistics rose from the ashes late in the final frame to complete a dramatic 21-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-21, 18-16 comeback victory against Choco Mucho in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
The Cargo Movers remained undefeated in the tournament with a clean 3-0 win-loss card while dealing the Flying Titans their first loss to fall to 2-1.
Veteran middle blocker Bea De Leon delivered the first match point for Choco Mucho, 14-11, before they looked like they would bag the victory after an attack error from Kianna Dy. But the Cargo Movers called for a challenge on a net fault from the Flying Titans, which turned out to be successful for the 14-all deadlock.
De Leon again delivered Choco Mucho's second match point at 15-14 before Jolina dela Cruz tied things up anew at 15-all. The former La Salle standout then unleashed an ace to give F2 the match point as Ivy Lacsina's down-the-line hit completed the epic win for the Regine Diego-mentored squad.
Dy led F2 with 24 points anchored on 21 attacks, two blocks, and one ace while Aby Maraño chipped in 14 markers. Dela Cruz and Majoy Baron also shone with 11 points apiece.
Earlier, Chery Tiggo finally barged into the win column after surviving Akari in thrilling five sets, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 15-7 to improve to 1-1 while keeping the Chargers winless in the tournament at 0-2.
The lethal sister duo of Eya and EJ Laure took centerstage with the former pouring in a team-high 19 points built on 16 attacks and three blocks while the latter churned out 15 markers alongside 11 digs.
Mylene Paat and Ponggay Gaston chipped in 11 points apiece.
The Crossovers were previously swept by defending champion Creamline on the opening day last June 27.
