Vacation time! Creamline heads to Dubai for delayed but well-deserved R&R

The Cool Smashers finally have some time to relax as a group.

Even champions have to rest and relax from time to time.

And for the Creamline Cool Smashers, who won the PVL All-Filipino crown in epic fashion, it’s been a long time coming.

After several of its players competed for the national team in the Southeast Asian Games, the Cool Smashers finally had some time to take a break and relax from volleyball.

Seven Cool Smashers were part of the national team, which included team captain Alyssa Valdez, Jia De Guzman, Tots Carlos, Michele Gumabao, Jema Galanza, Ced Domingo, and Kyla Atienza.

That team fought valiantly, but fell short of its goal of winning a medal, just missing out once more on a podium finish in the biennial games.

That heartbreak aside, the Creamline players certainly deserve this break after topping the PVL All-Filipino Conference and then going straight to training for the SEA Games and fighting for the country's honor in Cambodia.

On their respective social media accounts, the Cool Smashers shared some snippets of their first day in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

It will be a short break once again for the Cool Smashers, though, as after this, they will likely begin their preparations once more for the PVL Invitational Conference which is set to begin next month.
